“Be careful with soulish
prayers – Part 2” (English teaching
with Spanish translation)
Continuing the story of Balaam in Numbers 22, Balaam,
after convincing himself that he is doing a good thing,
disobeys God’s command not to go to Balak and
goes anyway. Balak, in this case representing the enemy,
tries many different strategies to convince us that
we are better off listening to him than listening to
God. The enemy relentlessly tells us that God is to
blame for the lack of our riches (blessings). We believe
the lie and we build up an anger towards, God saying
things like “If God really loves me, then why
am I dying of cancer?” or “why would God
allow me to have a child that is not healthy?”
We must learn to rely on God at all times (good or bad),
knowing that He is God in our lives and that all things
work out to good.
