Women Renewed

Throughout several years I have been given a word that my Lord would use me to teach His word to individuals to whom God was dead in their lives. I heard this prophetic word numerous times and “put it on a shelf” as some may say. I knew God would reveal it to me as to the perfect timing to take this word off the shelf. That time is now here.

In October of 2004, my husband and I received word that we would pastor a church in San Antonio. Although it seemed I had accepted the calling, my flesh began to doubt the call of God in my life. Could it be God could really use someone like me?

In my life, I had experienced childhood rejection, an almost failed marriage, and a loss of a child. To me these circumstances were just things that happened to everyone because of this “cruel world” we live in. I began to wonder whether I would have the words to minister to people who were experiencing other hurts from the world. How could someone like me help anyone?

As I began to cast my cares upon the Lord, he began to reveal to me his truths. He began to reveal that it was He who had called and qualified me (not man). He told me that He had anointed me to minister His word (not man). The Lord assured me it would be His comforter sent to live in me that would allow me to be used as a capable vessel to set the captives free.

You see, the word of God tells us that many are called but few are chosen. We have all been called to do his work. But because of hurts from the world we let these circumstances control our lives. We never reach the destiny God has for us because we keep dwelling on all our past hurts. We all have been wronged at one time or another. Those who are chosen are the individuals that have forgiven those who have wronged them, forgiven themselves, and moved on. These are the vessels that are chosen by Jesus. He too was wrong but he reached his goal, his vision, his destiny because he forgave and moved on!

As I sit writing this message, I reflect on a conversation that I had with a dear friend. As this friend revealed to me all the hurts in her life (repeated sexual abuse, failed marriage, rejection, and physical abuse), God allowed my heart to desire more of His word to assist the oppressed.

I heard the words “Women Renewed, Women Renewed, Women Renewed.” The Lord revealed that he had called me to San Antonio for a purpose. This purpose is to minister His word to women and spread the news of deliverance. The Lord desires for his people to be delivered from spiritual bondage due to past hurts, abuse, etc.

The Lord began to show me that he was ready to release His women, His shall we say… “Daughters in the spirit” to be made new. God has seen the women of San Antonio that have been hurt by the attacks of the enemy. He is saying “no more”. A revolution is coming to San Antonio to set all the captives free for his glory. My God is saying “I want a church that will carry this particular work.”

Women we are “A chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God, once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy” (1Peter 2:9-10).

Even though we may fail God at times, the true blessing is knowing that if we repent, we can receive God’s mercy, grace and forgiveness and move on. Together we will help each other reach our God-given vision for his glory.

The Lord has called the women of San Antonio to be accepted not rejected, loved not hated, fruitful not barren, uplifted not suppressed, and leaders not followers. In this end time, the Lord will begin to break the curse of the deception of women. When Eve failed by accepting the forbidden fruit, it seemed that history would never let it rest. However, when God choose the Virgin Mary to be the vessel to deliver our Lord Jesus Christ, and was successful in completing this great assignment, history simply cannot appreciate her role and accomplishment of it. Women, I tell you in this end time; God will not forget or overlook your efforts for him. Jesus Christ is calling us to be “Women Renewed” for his glory.

Your servant in Christ,
