Children’s Ministry
The children’s ministry at My Father’s House is exactly that… a ministry. Because our children are most receptive at their tender age, we believe that our children should have more than just a baby-sitting service while at church. Their minds are like little sponges absorbing everything around them and we need to take advantage of this valuable time

Pastor Lisa Longoria is the director of the children’s ministry at My Father’s House. She has a passion for working with children and watching them learn as they develop physically and spiritually. Pastor Lisa has a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and is licensed by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is accredited in the field of Academic, Clinical, and Exam Standards for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

After working with children for almost a decade, she has now realigned her focus to the spiritual side of a child’s development. She has composed a couple of children’s songs and is looking forward to authoring her own curriculum soon.

It is a requirement that all teachers at My Father's House be taught a CPR and First Aid class by someone who is certified in both of those areas.  In addition, it is also a requirement that every teacher pass a screening exam that identifies anyone with a Sexual Harassment or Child Predator history.

 

Little Blessings (ages 0-6)

Our children are a blessing from God. Children in this age group listen to Christian music appropriate for their age. This music is pleasing and helps keep them calm. They watch videos with bright eye-catching colors and play with toys that are appropriate for developing their motor skills.

Feeding and diaper changes are done as needed/recommended by each parent. Please bring a diaper bag with the child’s name. Diaper bag should include things such as diapers, wipes, snacks, baby food, milk, juice, water, favorite toys, blanket, etc
 
Little Soldiers (ages 7-12)

Our children’s church for Little Soldiers offers a place where children from kindergarten through fifth grade can discover and develop a passion for God. Through worship, teaching, and a variety of fun activities, children are exposed to God's Word and challenged to grow in their relationship with God.

Our children’s ministry is staffed with adults who are committed to teaching and ministering to your children. You can be confident that your child is well-cared for and having a great time learning about God while you worship God at My Father’s House.
